Far-right Marzel, Arab MK Zoabi banned from election
- The Central Elections Committee banned MK Hanin Zoabi from running in elections on the grounds that she supported armed struggle against Israel--a charge Israel's Attorney General said was unsubstantiated.
- Far-right candidate Baruch Marzel, of Eli Yishai's Yachad party, was banned for racism.
- Both disqualifications are likely to be appealed and very possibly overturned.
